Hi Im staying in Punta Jabillo next week, if you go to trip advisor there is 78 photos that you can look at. It seems like a nice hotel! I've read many reviews and the location is suppose to be great. There is a small beach nearby. the hotel provides many activities such as boules, tennis, table tennis, swimming (2 pools, one kids pool) there is also a pool bar which opens 'til 11pm.

Have a good time

Hi djw2510,

I've just returned from costa teguise for a two week holiday and I have to say there was not one second of my holiday were my family or I were bored!

Costa Teguise has a great selection of bars, cafes etc..
There is also loads for children eg, water park, aquarium ...

There is one restaurant in particular I would like to reccomend its a chinese buffet style restaurant right across the road from Teguise Playa Hotel(I dont know the name sorry). For €7.95 adult, €4.00 child, you can order a 3 course all you can eat meal followed by a complimentary glass of chinese wine. It has to be one of the nicest chinese restaurants there.

Special menus are advertised outside every restaurant there for example "Full english Breakfast-€1.95" but you have to be careful because the prices dont include an extra 5% service charge.

If you are looking for night time entertainment, you'll have a great selection in Costa Teguise.

Saxos Family Fun Pub(also opp. Teguise Playa Hotel) is a must visit. They open from 8pm-3am everyday with great family shows such as drag shows, magic shows and hypnotists followed by karaokes and discos.

I hope this informaton helps

Have a great holiday

3 years ago - anyone stayed at the barcelo la galea apartment in ct.
Hi Kathpop,

Dont mean to put a downer on your holiday but...

I have one problem with this hotel and that is the amount of cockroaches i saw inside the hotel, as the stairs inside connect outside without a door, cockroaches can easily get in. So you'll find them walking around the halls and in the elevators like I did!!!!!

Other than that the hotel is really nice and centrally located.

Hi,

I stayed at the Punta Jablillo apartements a few weeks ago for two weeks, and i have to say, dont listen to the bad reviews-its a great hotel!

Like yourself, when i booked my holiday i heard many bad reviews about the hotel, and i was scared of how bad the hotel could be.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by friendly staff (especially Emma the thomas cook rep and carole the receptionist):D, throughout my stay the staff at the hotel couldnt do enough for me they were always there to help!!!

The hotel offers great entertainment such as two good sized swimming pools + one kids pool (cleaned everyday), table tennis, basketball, tennis, football. There is also pool tables throughout the hotel along with airhockey and internet access.

The main pool area is kept very clean and has 2 pools, pool bar, free sunbeds and parasols, tv, table tennis and overlooks the ocean. On selected nights the hotel has Kids parties with karaokes, Nitendo WII etc and also live music. There is a back gate here that exits onto a promenade that connects the whole of Costa Teguise. If you use this it takes less than a 2min walk to Playa del Jablillo and about 20mins to the main beach(but if u use the main exit it takes less than 10 mins :D)

I stayed in one of the old apartments, around the back of the hotel but although they have really bad reviews, i,along with other guests had no problems. One positive impact about the back part is that the pool there is more reserved so it wont get as packed as the front ones. The apartments are cleaned every second day and the beds are changed once a week, but if u need beds changed earlier it is possible. The apts come with fridge, sat television(€1/hour), sofas, cuterly and crockery. You can rent toasters, kettles, pretty much anything from reception lol.

The location of the hotel is excellent, as all the bars, restaurants (even the chinese buffet restaurant lol) etc are right across the road!!! Beside the hotel there is a small shopping centre called Punta Jablillo shopping commercial, were you will find souvenir shops, irish bar, chinese rstaurant, bars, pharmacy, mini golf etc..

Overall I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, and have already planned next years holiday here again!!!

Hope you have a great holiday in CT

Paul

(sorry for such a long review :D)

3 years ago - what to do with luggage
Hi Gerry.
When i was in Costa Teguise during the summer i had the same problem, my return flight was late in the evening but i had to be checked out by 10AM luckily the hotel offered a room were you can leave your luggage or you can pay to keep your apt for an extra day however it can be quite expensive.

Hope this helps

3 years ago - What clothes should we take in February day and night?
Hi,

You should be fiine with shorts but be sure to bring some jackets etc.. i've been keeping an eye on webcam over the past few days and the weather seems good but to be on the safe side it would be advisable to pack something warm in case...as for night, dresses/skirt should be fine but just make sure you have a jacket because it can be quite windy there. Hope this helps and have a great time!!!

Hi.
Bars in Costa Teguise stay open until 2/3AM, there is a great selection in Costa Teguise, but i would reccomend Saxos which is across the road from Occidental Teguise Playa Hotel. They have karaokes, late night discos, Drag Shows, Pool, Bowling etc ...

Hi I stayed in tis hotel during the summer... its a really nice hotel, very friendly staff and the location is excellent.. the hotel is a bit basic but its well worth the money lol the beach bar is very nice food is great lol the 2 pools are always clean and quite big, entertainment every night except thurs/sat but with saxo across the road you probably wont be staying in lol i stayed in the old block and i have to say there was nothing at all wrong with lol i really dont know why there was bad reviews, it was me and my 2 kids (both 14) they loved it and families we got to know there felt the same and have booked to go bck next summer just like us!!

2 years ago - im going to costa de teguise in sept
Hi, I've just come back from costa teguise myself and love it there. The average temperature for septemeber is 25 degrees and yes you will need suncream, the wind can be deceiving too so be careful. I have been to CT twice and spent most nights on both holidays at Saxos Family Fun Pub and the Dolphin Inn.Saxos; the staff there are so friendly and they have entertainment everynight incl. Drag Shows, Live Music, Magicians etc. There is also pool tables and bowling alley there. The dolphin Inn have family quizes everynight except thurs, incl Family Fortunes, who wants to be a millionaire etc.. all free with prizes. The Market Square is also a great place at night with live music. There is a nice selection of restaurants and an Irish Bar. Costa Teguise has a great selection of restaurants, most very resonable prices especially the chinese. We payed €7pp for all you can eat chinsese buffets (3 courses) very nice! The name of the restaurant was Jumbo i think (dwn stairs from saxos). The main beach of CT is called Playa Las Churcharas although we prefered the smaller beach, Playa del Jablilloneade. Both beaches are connected by the promenade. If you have any questions please ask and Have a great Holiday!!
