There are 10,000 out of work on our island so it depends on what work you'd be looking for. also unless you work for English folk then you need Spanish and also german would help.
Retiring here, easy enough, just come. Again Spanish helps with local authorities (who usually dont have much English) I found ym computer translator programme a Godsend. I could type out what I wanted to do or say then translate it into Spanish print it and take it with me. Managed to buy a car, pay rates, buy a dog and get his injection etc with it. our climate has been described as 'eternal spring' it is more or less. the wind can be cold in winter but the temp. doesnt normally (has been known of course) to fall below around 16deg (61). hope this might help.

Hi, I find the best place for information is www.lanzarotelive.com - residents corner (Lanzarote Gazette website) there are lots of regular 'posters' on there who really know there stuff! A lot of them live on the island and there is lots of information on here about relocating from shippers to getting your paperwork sorted out - if I want any advise I always look on here. hope this helps. Just remember to look into it without the rose tinted glasses on!! good luck
