los girelles, restaurant (#71)
does anyone know of a restaurant in costa teguise called 'los giralles', not sure if spelt correctly, me and my husband have been going to ct for many years now but see this restaurant advertised on a holiday prog, but have never found it. we have been to many rests, mostly tapas as we like the atmosphere, but dont know where this one is, seemly it is family run. we off again to ct end aug and would like to find this one, or others like them,

The restaurant was called Los Girasoles, and was owned by the family who run the Nazaret Apartments and situated at the bottom of the steps to Nazaret Apts opposite the square where they have the Friday night market). We had a lovely meal there in 2006, it was a lovely atmosphere and had music played to our table by 2 wonderful musicians. I say was, because when we last went in September 07, it wasn't called Los Girasoles anymore, although it was still a cafe/bar. (The Apartments are still there though, and just a good as ever). We are giving Lanzarote a miss this year, but can't help looking at the live web-cam, to see the beautiful beach and blue sky. Hope this helps, and have a wonderful time ! Kerry Udall
