We are going here for a week from 15th October. I've been looking at some videos of the area and they all look quite windy. I knew it was gonna be windy, but worried that it is not warm. I know if it was windy here (scotland) then it would proably be freezing cold!

Should we be packing for a summer holiday or a windy holiday? Will it be warm enough to wear a bikini at the pool/beach and shorts and t-shirts when out and about? I've read we would need a cover up for the evening, but is this a jacket with long sleeves, a cardi with long sleeves,or just a something to drape over your shoulders, like a shawl or shrug/bolero? I have plenty shrugs that are short sleeved, will this be enough or are we talking a proper jumper/cardi?

And most importantly, will I still be able to get a tan while i'm there, because I really really really need to get a tan!

Thanks
I am also going in October (a few days before you) so I hope it's going to be hot. Looking at average temperatures it should be like going in May and when I have been in May it's been fine. I am expecting to sunbathe and walk around in shorts and t-shirt. Nights might be a bit cooler but if you're from Scotland it'll feel warmer than usual.

There may be an overcast day or a bit of rain even, but generally it should be hot and sunny.

Playa Blanca is lovely by the way, can't wait to walk along the front.

I am staying at the Papagayo so if you are too, make sure you say hello.
