HI EVERYONE, MY WIFE AND I CAME TO CT FOR THE FIRST TIME LAST SEPTEMBER AND IMEDIATLY FELL IN LOVE WITH EVERYTHING ABOUT IT, THE BEACH, PUBS, FOOD, PEOPLE.. WE DIDN'T HAVE 1 COMPLAINT.. JUST RECENTLY I'VE HEARD OF PEOPLE RETURNING FROM BENIDORM, TENERIFE OR MAJORCA WHO ARE ALL SAYING THAT PRICES ARE REALLY BAD NOW AROUND 4 OR 5 EUROS FOR A PINT OF BEER AND A SNACK IS 10 EUROS AND A MEAL 15 OR 20 FOR A BASIC MEAL.. HOW ARE THE PRICES IN CT LAST YEAR WE FOUND MANY PLACES THAT DID BEER FOR 1.50 OR A LUNCHTIME SNACK FOR 3 OR 4 EUROS. OPEFULLY THINGS ARE STILL THE SAME
Hi, we came back on Friday and i must say i agree that its a lovely place. Very friendly people and so clean !
The only thing that i found expensive was food imported from the UK in the supermarkets, so we ended up eating out all the time as it worked out cheaper.
Beer was a couple of euros a pint (the local beer), local shorts between 2.00 and 3.50 with a mixer.
There were 5 of us, (2 adults, 2 teens and a 10 yr old) and we usually got a mal, kids pudding and a couple of rounds of drinks for between 40 and 50 euros.
Snacks at lunch time were usually around about 4 or 5 euros per person...depending on where we went.
We ended up going to a bar called The Waterfront. ... round the corner from Splash Bar etc (the main drag near the beach). Proper home cooked food, good portions, lovely staff and very very reasonable.
I think it seems more expensive because the exchange rate is so bad at the moment.
Hope you have a good time ! It was our first time there and we would love to go back.
