I'm coming to Lanzarote next weekend for a week. Would I be best to buy my euros in the UK or in Lanzarote? The best rate I can get in the UK today is 1.032.
I've just come back and the rate varied from 1.08 to 1.04...don't think theres much difference between here and the UK to be honest. We were shocked at how expensive everything was. Kids fancied beans on toast one lunch time so we went to Spar and they were 2.80 a tin ! Cheese is very expensive, so is bread. We ended up eating out all the time as it was cheaper. For all of us (2 adults, 2 teens and a 10 yr old) we got a meal, kids had pudding and we had a couple of rounds of drinks and it never came to more than 50 euros.
