I'm going on holiday on monday (9th June)to puerto del carmen (Hotel Aquarius) and want to hire a car to go surfing at Famara Beach but can't find any directions. I ws wondering if you you could help me? Also, is there somewhere in Famara where I can hire a board for the day? Do you know the average cost for this?

You will find easily maps of the island for sale in all supermarkets, and perhaps at your hotel desk.
There are also surfing excursions to Famara if you dont want to hire a car, ask your rep.,hotel desk or lanzarotewindsurf.com At Famara, you will find surf shops in the village, on the left of the beach, where you will be able to hire surfboards. Have a good day :)

Hola famara is on the west coast, head for tequise, {not costa tequise} then head for soo, beach is great, surf club on beach

In P.del Carmen there is a very,very good company to rent a car.
Low prices + good service. Just look on internet : www.anthon.com and arrange it all by internet. Succes.
