hi there going to ct first 2 weeks september with a 2 and 12 year old staying at the barcelo la galea apartments self catering has anyone stayed in these apartments would like to know what they are like.

Hi Kathpop, we are staying at the same apartments in four weeks time.
our friends that are coming with us stayed there last year,they said they had a great time the apartments are mins from the beach and not far from the bars and restaurants.They said apartments very clean and staff friendly and pool lovely. im going there 26th june its in an excellent location,and ive heard a lot of good reports about it,seemingly alot of germans use it so get youre sunbeds early.s/c is an exelent option cos just cos within 2mins walk you have every kind of eaterie you could ask for i really reccomend costa teg.happy hols

I have stayed at the Barcelo La Galea twice. Excellent location from the beach, restraurants, shops etc. Germans etc do tend to use this hotel, and stay all inclusive. Pools tend to be a bit cold. We never struggled to get a sunbed - we stayed there in March and November last year. Cooking facilities are quite basic and you may need to hire a kettle if you are not going through First Choice. If you are on a late flight back, you can book a coutesy room the day before, just ask at Reception and they allocate a time for you but you would not know this unless you asked. Enjoy your holiday. Hi Kathpop,
Dont mean to put a downer on your holiday but... I have one problem with this hotel and that is the amount of cockroaches i saw inside the hotel, as the stairs inside connect outside without a door, cockroaches can easily get in. So you'll find them walking around the halls and in the elevators like I did!!!!! Other than that the hotel is really nice and centrally located. R
